Scholarships
Partial, need-based awards for members of SFYHA travel teams. Nobody should have to leave the sport over the cost of a season.
San Francisco Youth Hockey Association scholarships may be available for members of SFYHA travel teams. Awards are one-time and partial, intended for members facing financial hardship or a compelling current event that created the need.
All awards are applied directly to the member’s SFYHA dues and are not redeemable for cash. Decisions are at the discretion of the SFYHA Board, and are made only when funds are available.
How to apply
Register first
The player must be registered with SFYHA before an application can be considered.
Complete the application
Fill in the scholarship application form in full — every field matters. Download the form, or contact the registrar for a copy.
Wait for the board
You will be notified in November once the SFYHA Board reaches a final decision.
Where the money comes from
Funded by the club, for the club
The scholarship fund is filled by the annual Halloween fundraiser, dinner nights, eScrip and direct donations from families and local businesses.
