Board of Directors
The San Francisco Youth Hockey Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that operates the Sabercats program. Its board is made up entirely of parent volunteers.
What the board does
The board is responsible for executing the club’s mission. That includes oversight of the club’s bylaws, finances, registration, hockey operations and player safety.
The SFYHA follows the USA Hockey ADM model, and believes youth hockey players should have a developmentally appropriate learning environment from entry-level programs through to the most advanced.
Our mission is to provide a safe and fun environment for hockey instruction that emphasizes skill development and promotes valuable life skills including the importance of hard work, dedication to goals, development of self esteem, teamwork and good sportsmanship.
We seek to provide an opportunity for young people of all backgrounds in the San Francisco area to participate in and enjoy the sport of hockey in a positive environment and carry the love of hockey throughout their lives.
